Where can I buy tickets and how can I pay?

The easiest way to purchase your ticket is online, through our website. In this case, only card payment will be available.

Tickets will also be sold on-site, but it’s recommended to buy your ticket in advance to avoid waiting in line.

What types of tickets are available and what do they include?

The following ticket types will be available:

  • Adult (ages 14 and above)

  • Child (ages 3–14)

  • Family (up to 2 adults and 3 children under 14)

From what age does my child need a ticket?

Children must have a ticket starting from their third birthday. Child tickets can be purchased for ages up to 14.

Documents accepted for age verification: social security card (TAJ card), passport, student ID, identity card, birth certificate or a copy. If the child’s age under 3 cannot be verified, the organizers will apply a height restriction.

How can people with chronic illnesses or disabilities attend the event?

People with chronic illnesses or disabilities can attend the event for free if they possess a card issued by the Hungarian State Treasury verifying their status. It is important that the beneficiary visits the festival with a companion. The beneficiary receives a ticket equivalent to the one purchased by their companion.

How can I pay at the event?

The event operates a cashless payment system. However, according to the 15th amendment of Hungary’s Constitution, everyone has the right to pay in cash. Therefore, guests arriving with cash can exchange it for a UNIPASS card at the top-up points located throughout the festival area. This card can be used to pay for services within the event grounds. The card deposit fee is 500 HUF. Any remaining balance and the deposit fee can be refunded at the top-up points during the festival or at designated locations after the event. For card payments, you can use any bank card. Payment with SZÉP cards is not available within the festival area.

How does the Unipass system work?

If you arrive at the event with cash only, you can exchange it for a UniPass card. The card deposit is 500 HUF. There are designated top-up points, which can be easily found on the festival map. Any unused funds on the card can be refunded at the designated top-up points during Debrecen Drive opening hours. On the last day of the festival, refunds can also be processed on-site. Detailed information is available at the top-up points and in on-site informational materials.

Can I bring food or drinks into the event?

Non-commercial amounts of food are allowed on the festival grounds. You can bring bottled water (maximum one unopened 1.5-liter bottle per person) or your own empty water bottle, which can be refilled at several stations inside the event.

Are there free drinking water points?

Yes, there are numerous free water refill stations at the festival. You can find them, among other places, in the HALL, at the Nagyerdei Water Tower, at Red and White, and in the restrooms on the entrance level of Nagyerdei Stadium.

Can I purchase food and drinks at the event?

Of course! There are many food and beverage stalls at the festival, ensuring everyone can find something they like.

How can I participate in the Metal-Sheet Night Drive?

The Metal-Sheet Night Drive is the eve event of Debrecen Drive, and participation requires purchasing a separate ticket. Tickets can be purchased for different sections, allowing you to choose either a seated or standing ticket.

Will the Metal-Sheet Night Drive take place in bad weather?

If the organizers and safety experts determine that weather conditions make it unsafe to hold the event as planned, the Metal-Sheet Night Drive will be rescheduled to a rain date. Ticket holders will always be informed in such cases.

How can I enter a team in the Schaeffler Mini Drive?

The Mini Drive is a race for the youngest participants, where children aged 5–12 form teams and compete with their own individually designed “race cars” in skill and speed competitions.

Only companies, institutions, and organizations can register teams for the Mini Drive. If a team does not have a supporting organization behind it, the application cannot be approved.

In recent years, teams have been entered by organizations such as Schaeffler, Krones, DKV Zrt., and Zsuzsi Train.

My child will attend the event with me. What programs are available for kids?

Since Debrecen Drive takes place on Children’s Day weekend, we place great emphasis on providing many experiences for children at the festival.

The detailed program will be shared soon. In the meantime, here’s a glimpse of the colorful and exciting activities from previous years:

Is it recommended to bring noise-canceling ear protection?

We recommend bringing noise-canceling ear protection for children, especially if you plan to watch the Drive Shows together.

Are there additional costs for participating in children’s programs?

No, all programs, activities, and concerts available on the festival grounds are included in the ticket price, so there are no extra costs.

Possible Program Changes

We reserve the right to make changes to the program. Our goal is to carry out the entire pre-announced program, but due to circumstances beyond our control, modifications may occur, such as the cancellation of a program element or a change in timing.

What should I do if I experience a health issue?

If you experience any health problems, please contact the medical and emergency services available on the event grounds.

What to do in case of storms, extreme weather, or emergencies?

The organizers will do everything possible to inform attendees in advance about any incoming extreme weather. In such cases, we strongly ask that you remain calm and follow the instructions of the security personnel and event staff, as outlined in the Debrecen Drive Safety Plan. In the event of temporary stormy weather, the covered stands of Nagyerdei Stadium will provide shelter, accessible via the elevated walkways and open stadium gates. In some cases, it may be necessary to evacuate the event area — attendees will be informed via loudspeakers, screens, and staff. Please leave the event area immediately when instructed. It is especially important to familiarize yourself with the emergency exits and evacuation routes upon arrival at the festival.
